Daughter, Miriam, was born in L.A., CA and raised in Eugene, Oregon.  She attended public schools and went on to Stanford University.  There she met her future husband, Brian Lee, during the freshman orientation.  On graduation with B.A. in Human Biology in 1990 Miriam took a job as clerical assistant for a cardiologist in San Francisco.  Next year she took a teaching position for English as second language in Busan, Korea through Princeton In Asia program.  Gaining two years of work experience she went back to a professional training in Medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University.  On receiving her M.D. in 1996 she went back to Stanford campus for her residency program in Pediatrics at Lucil Packard Stanford Children's Hospital.

Brian took a slight different path.  He received B.S. and M.S. in Biology from Stanford and he too taught English in Taiwan and China for one year.  He received his M.D. from University of California at San Francisco in 1996.  Brian also went back to Stanford campus for Pediatrics residency program.

They worked and studied together and went on fellowship program.  Brian completed a three-year fellowship in infectious diseases at Oakland Children's Hospital and is working as their staff physician.  Miriam took a two-year Public Health fellowship program.  As a byproduct she received a M.A. in Public Health at University of California, Berkeley.

After 15 years of dating and wandering Miriam and Brian got married finally at Stanford Memorial Church in July 2001.  Returning from honeymoon Miriam started her first full time position at Bancroft Pediatric Medical Group in San Leandro, CA.   They are planning to continue working and living in the San Francisco Bay area.  They are living in Palo Mares Hill, Castro Valley, east San Francisco bay.  Brian and Miriam are pediatricians certified by American Board of Pediatrics.  They have a daughter, Maggie, born on March 31, 2004 and a son, Matthew, born on June 5, 2006.
